Description
Perfect for knifemakers!
The blacksmith’s flatter is made of wear-resistant manganese steel. The working surface is hardened to a hardness of 50 HRC to avoid damage to the anvil’s path. The anvil has a prescribed hardness of 60 HRC. The upper hammering part is annealed to prevent damage to the working surface of the hammer. The handles on the saddle are made from ash or hornbeam wood in our company. They are pressed into the saddle with a pressure of 7 tons. The saddle is then fully preserved with a mixture of Carnauba wax and linseed oil, which is applied while warm.
