Description
The french-style blacksmith’s hammer is made of wear-resistant manganese steel that is hardened to a 50 HRC hardness level so as not to harm the anvil that has a prescribed hardness level of 60 HRC. Our company manufactures hammer handles from ash or hornbeam wood, where we press them with a 7-ton pressure and stick them with a special polyurethane glue into the hammer’s eye, ensuring firm storage so that it does not come loose from the hammer unless required, for which we recommend putting a safety wedge. Finally, the hammer is entirely preserved with a mixture of Carnauba wax and linseed oil that is applied while hot, thereby providing optimal protection.
